Amy MinchinAmy Minchin has more than 15 years of experience as a professional communicator. She started Amy Minchin Creative in 2012 in order to share her expertise with clients in need of a communications consultant or freelance writer.

Before beginning her solo practice, Amy served as vice president and communications manager for Regions Financial Corporation, a publicly traded, Fortune 500 regional financial services company based in Birmingham, Ala. During her 13-year career with the bank, Amy guided communications and marketing projects large and small through two multi-billion dollar corporate mergers, dramatic shifts in the U.S. economy, and most recently an era of unprecedented regulatory change in the banking industry.

Serving internal clients from the executive suite to the teller line, Amy developed strategic communication plans to help the company’s representatives communicate effectively and consistently with customers, employees and other stakeholders. Externally, she worked with reporters, advertising agencies, and the bank’s website and social media teams to share the company’s messages and engage audiences throughout a 16-state market area and beyond.

As a writer, Amy has worked with clients in publishing, higher education, healthcare and tourism. She is a member of the Florida Public Relations Association, Greater Pensacola Chamber, and the Leadership Pensacola Class of 2014.

An Alabama native, Amy grew up with entrepreneurial parents and grandparents who demonstrated the importance of hard work, treating customers well and being a trusted expert in your field or craft. She learned to take pride in doing a job and doing it well. In college, Amy turned a love of the written word into her vocation. She worked in campus media and athletic media relations at Samford University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Early in Amy’s career, she also completed graduate coursework in Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Alabama.
